TransHyDE 2.0 Association Founded – A Milestone for the European Hydrogen Infrastructure

On May 6, 2025, the TransHyDE 2.0 association was officially established in Berlin. During a formal event moderated by Dorothea Müschenborn, the initiative's charter was adopted, and the founding board was elected. This marks a significant milestone in the development of a European hydrogen infrastructure.

The association brings together key stakeholders from industry, research, and politics under one umbrella. Its goal is to actively shape and accelerate the rollout of a secure, efficient, and technology-neutral hydrogen transport infrastructure. TransHyDE 2.0 aims to serve as a central platform for coordination, collaboration, and implementation across the entire value chain.

Dr. Stefan Kaufmann (Clean World Hydrogen Consulting) was elected as the first chairperson. Dr. Anne Bendzulla (ENERTRAG) and Dr. Friederike Eggert (SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH) will jointly serve as vice chairs for industry coordination. Prof. Dr. Mario Ragwitz (Fraunhofer IEG) was elected vice chair for research coordination, while Jimmie Langham (cruh21 – part of Drees & Sommer) will take on the role of vice chair for finance and funding.

With this strong leadership team, a new chapter begins in the advancement of Europe’s hydrogen infrastructure. TransHyDE 2.0 will play a pivotal role in bringing together innovation, creating synergies, and driving forward concrete projects.
