Project “Hydrogen Center Rüsselsheim” – Site Analysis for the Rhine-Main Region

cruh21 (part of Drees & Sommer) contributed to the project by conducting the site analysis and evaluation of potential locations. Our role focused on assessing and comparing different sites in order to provide a sound basis for regional hydrogen strategy decisions.
From our team, Martin Wilferth and Meryem Maghrebi (cruh21) as well as Lukas Hach and Laura Cavaliere (Drees & Sommer) were involved.
Project partner: hynes – Hydrogen and New Energy Solutions GmbH
Client: City of Rüsselsheim am Main
Support: Hessian Ministry of Economics and LEA – LandesEnergieAgentur Hessen
This project exemplifies the importance of strategic site selection for the development of regional hydrogen infrastructure. Only with reliable analyses can municipalities and regions set the right course for investment, public acceptance, and implementation speed.
