Dr Ursula Prall re-elected to the Board of Directors of the OFFSHORE-WINDENERGIE Foundation
With effect from January 2024, the OFFSHORE-WINDENERGIE Foundation is announcing changes to its Board of Directors. OFFSHORE-WINDENERGIE is characterised by its unique composition of pioneers of offshore wind energy in Germany as well as the representation of global market leaders and innovation drivers in the industry. The expansion of the Executive Board strengthens the foundation's management team and prepares it for the challenges of the coming years.
Tim Meyerjürgens, COO in the management of TenneT, Dr Joyce von Marschall, Head of the German Offshore Wind Development Business at RWE Offshore Wind, and Martin Gerhardt, Managing Director and Head of Offshore Product Management at Siemens Gamesa, will join the full board. The re-election of cruh21 Managing Director Dr Ursula Prall as Chairwoman and of Prof Dr Martin Skiba, Norbert Giese and Knud Rehfeldt is a clear sign of confidence in their work to date.
The combination of experienced personalities and experts puts the Foundation in a position to successfully tackle the tasks ahead. In addition to the Executive Committee led by Jens Eckhoff and Prof Dr Klaus Rave, the partners on the Board of Trustees and the team at the head office led by Managing Director Karina Würtz, Head of Policy Andreas Mummert and Head of Third-Party Funded Projects Björn Zindler also play a key role.
For the year 2024, the focus is on implementing the political objectives. Energy, security and industrial policy are to be considered together in order to successfully shape the offshore energy transition in all its facets. The OFFSHORE-WINDENERGIE Foundation therefore firmly believes that it is well equipped to continue making a significant contribution to the further development of renewable energy in Germany.
