Delegation from Yulin Visits Hamburg at cruh21

On June 11, 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming a high-level delegation from the Chinese economic region Yulin (Shaanxi Province) to Hamburg – coordinated by our colleague Jimmie and accompanied by cruh21. The 14-member group included representatives from energy startups, logistics companies, research institutions, and urban development agencies – all with a strong interest in cooperation on hydrogen, infrastructure, and technology development.

The day began with a warm welcome at the offices of Drees & Sommer, where the delegation and local stakeholders met for the first time. The delegation presented the impressive economic development of the Yulin region, highlighting its great potential in green hydrogen, industrial plant construction, and logistics.

In perfect weather, we then moved on to a joint harbor cruise through the Port of Hamburg. Along the route, informal project insights and brief introductions were shared – providing the ideal setting for open dialogue, early impulses, and targeted networking. With the harbor as our backdrop, a space emerged for genuine curiosity and meaningful connections.

We were especially pleased by the strong interest in Hamburg-based projects and the discussions on how we create spaces for innovation, rethink infrastructure, and shape international partnerships.

The day concluded with informal conversations at the Elbphilharmonie, where ideas for future collaboration were already being exchanged. One thing became clear: there is a growing need for genuine, low-threshold formats for international exchange – beyond the usual delegation routines.

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone involved – especially to our colleagues at HPA who joined the dialogue or helped create spontaneous connections. And of course, to Jimmie for the trusted coordination behind the scenes.

We look forward to staying in touch – and to what may grow from here.
