cruh21 as a guest at the Hydrogen Technologies Expo in Hamburg
On October 23 and 24, 2024, the Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe took place in Hamburg, organized by Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH. The expo provided a large platform for the latest technologies and solutions in the production, storage, and distribution of hydrogen, as well as innovations in the field of fuel cells and Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS).
With over 15,000 participants and 800 exhibiting companies, this year's conference was the largest event worldwide for hydrogen technology. Participants could look forward to over 300 speakers in six parallel tracks, sharing their expertise and insights into the future of the hydrogen economy.
From our team, communications and marketing experts Barbara Mai and Hanna Naoumis were on-site, gaining many insights into the latest developments in the industry. Particularly impressive were the numerous innovative solutions and approaches presented. Despite some challenges, the hydrogen market continues to gain momentum, driving the entire industry with great commitment.
Barbara Mai had the opportunity to meet with various experts, including Fenja Bleich from TransHyDE, Niko Czauderna from Marsh, and Marc Itgen from Ingenion. Intensive discussions also took place at the booth of Renewable Energies Hamburg (EEHH), addressing current challenges and innovative solutions for the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy. Another key point of the discussions was the plans of Andreas Wellbrock and the team from NORTHSEA HYDROGEN, with Michael Berges and Axel Urban. AquaConsult, also strongly represented, significantly contributed to the discussion on future initiatives.
On the second day of the expo, Hanna Naoumis attended the event. Numerous component and technology manufacturers were present, with Bremen, Lower Saxony, and Hamburg particularly standing out as pioneers in the German hydrogen sector. Italy impressed with its "Hydrogen Valleys" and a well-developed refueling station system for trains. Alongside familiar faces, new accents were set by the topic of carbon capture. The Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe 2024 in Hamburg was a great success, impressively showcasing how the hydrogen industry is working towards the energy transition.
