Barbara Mai named Role Model by Women of New Energies e.V.

Our colleague Barbara Mai is a bridge builder – connecting people, topics, and perspectives. For more than a decade, she has worked at the intersection of communication, business development, and the energy industry. Today, she is responsible for communication in complex energy projects as well as corporate communications at cruh21.
Her drive: making the energy transition possible – with clarity, enthusiasm, and the conviction that transformation succeeds when people, not just technology, are placed at the center.

Before entering the renewable energy sector, her path led her through the hospitality industry, international positions in England, Spain, and Mexico, and a period in the automotive sector. This diversity shapes her approach today: empathetic, open-minded, and with a holistic perspective. In parallel, she is a certified Life & Team Coach and an active mentor.

As a board member of Women of New Energies e.V., she brings her voice beyond cruh21 – in panel discussions, mentoring programs, and in the association’s communication work. Her commitment to equal opportunity and fair working conditions reflects the values that drive us every day at cruh21: trust, transparency, and the shared goal of linking innovation and sustainability.
