As part of the management team, Dr Ursula Prall, who holds a doctorate in law, is responsible for the legal support of projects within cruh21 and plays a key role in building up the company's regulatory department.
As a long-standing partner at BBH Hamburg, Dr Ursula Prall specialises in environmental and planning law with a strong focus on legal issues relating to renewable energies, including grid connection and grid expansion issues. Since 2004, her main area of work has been the promotion of the use of offshore wind energy, where she deals with both legal and legal policy aspects. This focus is also reflected in her activities as former managing director and executive chair of the Offshore Forum Windenergie and as acting chair of the OFSHORE WINDENERGIE Foundation. Through her work, she has many years of experience in cooperating with the relevant federal ministries and authorities at the federal and state levels.
Overall, Dr. Ursula Prall is closely familiar with legal issues as well as with many practical questions relevant to offshore wind energy use due to her many years of association work and experience.
Among other things, she has provided legal advice to project development companies in the offshore wind sector (primarily in the EEZ). She also has experience in the licensing of installations under the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG).
Dr Ursula Prall was named as a "frequently recommended lawyer for energy law" in the Handbuch Wirtschaftskanzleien/JUVE in 2015/2016 and was highlighted in "Who' Who Legal Energy" (2016) and in "Who's Who Legal Germany" (2018, 2020 and 2021). She was named one of "Germany's Best Lawyers" in energy law in 2020, 2021 and 2022 in the ranking of the Handelsblatt and the US publisher "Best Lawyers".
